Our mission

For some, getting a mortgage is scary, for others really exciting, and others still it is tedious. At Roost Mortgages my promise is that I will strip away the jargon, fully explain your options to you and offer bespoke advice. I’ll take care of the leg work and make it all as easy as possible for you. As well as first time buyers and people moving house, I welcome non-standard cases such as self-employed mortgages and later life lending. And of course I can take care of your protection needs too. I am not tied to one provider.

To put my money where my mouth is with my service, I differ from many brokers by only taking payment once your mortgage is complete. So there are no false promises on what is achievable. I also offer a remortgage guarantee: If you come to me for a review and I cannot beat your existing lender’s rate, I will do all the work of remortgaging with your current lender and charge no broker’s fee.

Hi! I’m Jo, the lead Adviser at Roost Mortgages. I am CeMap qualified and I offer a mortgage and protection service perfectly in line with my own values. I am friendly, approachable and have years of experience. I like to work hard for my clients and share their enthusiasm whilst filling any knowledge gaps for them. I see myself as being a helping hand and source of support throughout your mortgage journey, doing as much as I can so you don’t have to.

I love helping first time buyers and people remortgaging and moving house. But I also like to advise on more complicated mortgage cases, ones which involved self-employed people or those in later life.

At Roost I ensure things run smoothly and we are part of The Openwork Partnership. This means we have access to an extensive panel of lenders so you can be confident you are getting a good spread of lenders and that everything is done by the book.
